City University of Hong Kong, or CityU for short, was founded in 1984, formerly known as the City Polytechnic of Hong Kong, and was upgraded to City University of Hong Kong in 1994. Technology | Fluorescent lamps need ballasts, and ballasts need a series of designs to meet specific fluorescent lamp models. The invention introduced here relates to a general-purpose electronic ballast compatible with most fluorescent lamp models. The electronic ballast can automatically detect the type of fluorescent lamp, which has a microcontroller. The latter can determine the type of lamp according to the resistance, voltage and current of the lamp. The invention uses the intelligent control method and the pre stored decision tree data file to determine the model of the fluorescent lamp according to the appropriate order of the switching frequency of the electronic ballast. |
