Why does a typhoon have the name "Dussuri"?

The name of a typhoon is not given randomly. To avoid confusion in typhoon names, according to the definition of the World Meteorological Organization, tropical cyclones with central winds of force twelve or above and wind speeds of 32.7 meters per second can be called typhoons or hurricanes. When a tropical cyclone reaches the strength of a tropical storm, it is given a specific name. The name is provided by 14 countries and regions of the Typhoon Committee of the World Meteorological Organization. Each member provides 10 names, forming a naming table that includes 140 typhoon names, which are used repeatedly.

The name of Typhoon "Dussuri" was named by South Korea, initially called "Caidie". However, due to the fact that the Korean pronunciation of Nabi was similar to the Arabic word "prophet", it was replaced. South Korea referred to it as "eagle", with the Korean pronunciation of Doksuri and the Chinese transliteration of "Dussuri".

What are the standards for naming typhoons?

In fact, the naming provided by each country for typhoons cannot be arbitrarily chosen, but there are certain requirements for standardization——
