David Kendall

Director of Product Research and Chief Product Designer

David Kendall, PhD, Director of Product Research, specializes in product development with start-up financial services companies. He has been at the forefront of novel derivatives contract development and technological advances in trading and exchange services.

Prior to joining HKIPX, Dr. Kendall worked with U.S. Futures Exchange as Director of Business Development leading the creation of some of the most innovative contracts in financial derivatives today. He was instrumental in the licensing and development of Wind Power Financial Futures which was the first alternative energy derivatives contract available on a futures exchange. He also managed the implementation of the first merger event binary option which allowed participants to profit from the merger between the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and the Chicago Board of Trade. His group produced a record twenty-seven contracts listed in a six-week period including Spot-Equivalent Foreign Exchange Futures which allowed foreign exchange speculators to trade on a fully regulated exchange for the first time in history. Dr. Kendall negotiated and signed license agreements with the Bombay Stock Exchange for its SENSEX stock index and Lehman Brothers for several of its fixed-income indexes. Dr. Kendall holds a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the University of Chicago. He has a B.S. in Chemistry from Roosevelt University.
